Elizabeth Phillips

Biography

A Computer Science major, EQ6 instructor Elizabeth Phillips has used computers professionally for 25 years. She brings her experience in software development, delivery and training to quilting. This experience brought to her classes and lectures helps both beginning and accomplished quilters to use and understand computerized design tools.

She is a certified Bernina Embroidery Software instructor, levels 1 & 2, gained through training at the Oklahoma School of Embroidery Design under the tutelage of Kim Goodwin. She is an Explorations embroidery software instructor also through training received in Oklahoma.

Professionally she has extensive experience in business development, planning, and sales and marketing. In addition to quilting design software she uses the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, as complimentary quilting design tools.

Elizabeth is very well traveled through work and pleasure. In recent years her travel has been dedicated toward quilting education, teaching and her quilting enthusiasm.

Elizabeth’s studio is located on an island in the Pacific Ocean: Vancouver Island, British Columbia. As a quilter, she draws inspiration from the lush rain forests and ocean air of the Island: an environment that nourishes her creative spirit.
